John David and I have moved! Yes, we now live in a comfortable apartment in one of the northernmost neighborhoods of Manhattan called Washington Heights. I love it for many reasons:

1. The subway is one block away, and my new commute is 25 minutes.
2. There are two corner grocery stores, a McDonald's, a Burger King, a Dunkin Donuts, two hardware stores, a movie theatre, a Papa John's, a Dominoes, and a Duane Reade within three blocks.
3. Fort Tryon park is four blocks to the north, both overlooking the Hudson and the East Rivers and also containing the Cloisters.

We finally have a real bed (after sleeping on the floor/leaky air mattress for a week) and a TV (though no cable yet).

Also, more exciting news: Rachael and I are brewing some mischievious holiday fun to send to everyone. Don't ask us questions when we demand your holiday mailing addresses soon; just prepare to be amazed.

Now that's a neighborhood, damn!

Admit it though, you wish there were a crackhouse across the street and fratties in the back.
